Should sexual education should be taught in schools? The answer is simply yes. Sexual education should be taught in schools because it can help many teenagers prevent life threating things that come without knowledge of the subject. Without any knowledge on the subject of sex, many teenagers can put themselves in danger that can easily be prevented. Should this class be mandatory? Sexual education should be mandatory simply because of the benefits that come with it. Without knowledge on sex, teenagers can get themselves in a world of trouble. But, if this class is taught, the students can be educated on why not to have sex at an early age, and if they intend to, to use protection. Many teenagers are now becoming parents these days. In fact, from the ages of 15-19, there were 249,078 babies born in the United States. (1) Many of these unwanted pregnancies can be prevented with the help sexual education. Yes, in some schools there is sexual education. But, if it was in every school man y of these could have possibly been prevented. At the school I attend, sexual education is not offered. We are faced with several unwanted pregnancies, and with sexual education, I think these could be prevented. Without any knowledge of sex, there are many possible things that could go wrong. If you plan on having sex, especially in high school, you need to make sure you have an understanding of it.
